BLUSSH Romance Festival Director, Sue-Anne Chapman said, “More romance films are being made, and romance books being written, in Brisbane than anywhere else in Australia. And this is how BLUSSH Romance Festival was born – a super fun event to showcase these wonderful stories and provide audiences with an opportunity to come together with like-minded romance film and book enthusiasts”.

Opening Night Gala and Australian premiere of One Perfect Match is on Thursday 22 February at the Angelika Film Centre, South City Square. Join Director Jo-Anne Brechin, filmmakers, and principal cast on the pink carpet, enjoy canapes and drinks on arrival, and a special pre-screening star-studded introduction.

Filmed entirely on location in Brisbane, including around South/City/SQ, and produced by the kings and queens of romance, Jaggi Entertainment, One Perfect Match follows matchmaker Lucy Marks as she juggles her work and personal life. When she meets a handsome businessman, she immediately feels a spark, but that spark is ruined when she learns he is her newest client.

Festival Co-Director and film producer, Kylie Pascoe added, “Brisbane is home to many romance filmmakers and writers, and we are so proud and excited to bring these two together in a celebration of romance, literature and film. Along with our partners, BLUSSH Romance Festival will create and deliver a 4-day program that will capture your heart.”

About BLUSSH Romance Festival

BLUSSH Romance Festival is the loving brainchild of film producer and romance tragic Kylie Pascoe, and heavy culture consumer Sue-Anne Chapman. With a strong desire to bring together their love of films and books under one festival umbrella, they hope, through the romance lens, to deliver a carefully curated program of stories and events for the citizens of South-East Queensland.

About One Perfect Match

Renowned matchmaker, Lucy Marks, meets a handsome businessman and feels an immediate spark. She is disappointed to find out the next day that he is Finn Grayson, her newest client. With a strict “no dating clients” policy, she matches him with Molly. A serendipitous weekend trip to look at a vineyard as a potential wedding venue for her soon-to-be-wed sister, reveals Finn as the son of the owners. As Lucy and Finn spend more time together, their feelings grow. Lucy must decide between breaking her own rules and following her heart or losing the love of her life.
