Available January 15th
We turn the lights down low and our collars up high, for the festival’s opening night salon and screening. Expect a dark, passionately Gothic opening night event, as we brace ourselves on the isolated Yorkshire moors to celebrate the release of ‘WUTHERING HEIGHTS’ and the commencement of the festival’s film program.
This will be an event you won’t forget as we celebrate our two loves: films and books.
The evening will be filled with intense romance, moody moor inspired theming, and plenty of bubbly. Expect entertaining surprises to appear out of the mist. Swoon and sway on the black carpet and sip on Blussh-inspired cocktails at the exclusive Blussh Opening Night Salon at the stunning Dendy Cinemas Coorparoo.
Get papped on the black carpet and then grab your favourite movie sweets before settling for a screening of the highly anticipated ‘WUTHERING HEIGHTS’. Blussh Romance Festival is a celebration of love and romance, bringing together everything we love: romance novels, swoon-worthy films, and unforgettable moments shared with amazing people.

About The Film
From Warner Bros. Pictures and Academy Award- and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell comes “WUTHERING HEIGHTS,” starring Academy Award and BAFTA nominee Margot Robbie opposite BAFTA nominee Jacob Elordi.
A bold and original imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennell’s “WUTHERING HEIGHTS” stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness.
The film also stars alongside Oscar nominee Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, BAFTA winner Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell. Fennell directs from her own screenplay based on the novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. “WUTHERING HEIGHTS” is only in Cinemas February 12, 2026.
